Overlooking the RGB lighting effects, this is still essentially a cooler that carries a ‘stock’ style push-pin design. While these can often be just as good or competitive with entry-level coolers, they clearly struggle when it comes into direct comparison with more notable (and substantial) products.
As such, the Thermaltake UX100 isn’t exactly fantastic when it comes to temperature performance. In fact, based on the figures seen in the stock performance, we’re not going to pretend to be more than a little surprised that it was capable of actually holding a stable overclock and (surprisingly) at about the same overall temperature level.
So, in truth, temperature performance isn’t that great, but for this price were you really expecting it to be? – It does, however, get much better when you look at noise levels.
The noise performance of the UX100 was (surprisingly) very, very, good! Achieving low acoustic scores, while this processor does err towards the hotter side, the design still allows the fan to run surprisingly quiet while keeping those temperatures at a fairly reasonable level.
