The Build

Much to my own embarrassment, I don’t have a micro-ATX motherboard lying around, but in my defence, they’re not as common as they once were. Alas, the mini-ITX board here will have to do, it’s not going to be the end of the known universe, is it… is it? That being said, the little UX100 cooler looks mint on there, and it was super easy to install too, which is certainly something we can all appreciate.

There’s a really good amount of space on the interior too, making it easy to install your motherboard, and still leaving some elbow room for fitting cables and other peripheral hardware. The cable routing is decent too, just simple holes, but all well located and easy to route cables though, so really I can’t complain.

The GPU length is excellent, there’s plenty of room here, and with some of the newer cards also being on the wide side, that shouldn’t be an issue. Just be sure to measure up before you order, as some modern GPUs can be frighteningly long.

The ARGB fans look superb though, as does the UX100 CPU cooler with its ARGB ring lighting. This means you can customise the whole look of your build to be puking rainbows, fixed colours, fades, or whatever takes your fancy.

While you can sync all the UX100 and case fans with your motherboard, keep in mind the peripherals RGB is a little more arbitrary on this setup. The keyboard has fixed RGB zones and the mouse pretty much does it own thing, but you can change the profiles for some different colours.

Honestly, they look and feel really great for such affordable peripherals too. The mouse is nimble and quiet, and pretty lightweight too, making it comfortable for longer gaming sessions.

The keyboard looks great, easily one of the better budget keyboards on the market right now. Membrane may be basic, but it works well and the keyboard is light and fast to type on. More so, it’s superbly quiet too, having used mechanicals for so long, I forgot the simple pleasures of a membrane keyboard.
