Overview

The latest chassis from Thermaltake doesn’t reinvent the market, it’s pretty basic when you get down to the details. However, there’s a big market for affordable chassis, and when it comes to it, the Versa H18 is bloody fantastic value for money. Sure, it’s not the £200 monster PC chassis you may desire, but it’s perfectly capable of housing a decent gaming PC, water cooling, and use at home and in the office.

Build Quality

Honestly, it’s pretty robust for something in this price range. The panels are a little thinner and there are a few more plastics than more expensive models. However, if you want thicker steel and maybe a tempered glass window, you could be spending around £70 for the privilege. That’s not a huge amount of money, but everyone has to work within their own budgets.

Added Value

Affordable it may be, but you do get a good amount of features for your investment. The front panel features some built-in dust filtering, allowing for clean airflow. Furthermore, you get a magnetic dust filter on the top panel fan mount, as well as a clip-in mesh filter on the PSU air intake. All basic stuff, but cleaner airflow and easy maintenance shouldn’t be understated. The built-in PSU shroud is a huge perk too, keeping cable routing clean, and allowing you to hide some storage drives out of sight. Finally, a single 120mm exhaust fan is also included.
