Does Denuvo Impact Performance?

This is honestly a hard question to answer definitely based on the results we saw. What is clear is that the non-Denuvo version did seem to have a clear edge at the 1440p high setting mode. Was that edge created by it just simply being the graphical ‘sweet spot’ for that system though? Perhaps.

What is perhaps the most surprising, however, is that whatever edge was gained at our lowest test for the non-Denuvo version was pretty much equal to that seen during the highest in the Denuvo version.

Final Verdict

If you were asking me for my honest opinion, overall, I’d have to say that there’s very little difference between the two versions. Does Denuvo impact the performance of Total War Three Kingdoms? The evidence would certainly seem to err towards the answer being in the positive. Were the results conclusive enough for me to rubber-stamp that decision though?

Sorry to frustrate some of you, but sadly not. The jury on Denuvo, for the moment, seems to still be out.
