TrustGo Mobile releases Exynos Exploit disabler

With the aim to disable the significant vulnerability in Samsung devices with Exynos 4 chip, TrustGo have released Exynos Exploit Disabler via Google Play.According to what the company’s CEO said that since Samsung sold many devices with Exynos processors, hackers and malware developers; the “bad guys” will look forward to taking advantage of such a target.

The problem that Samsung with Exynos processor had was discovered by XDA Developers. It could potentially allow attackers to use malicious apps that can not only wipe the data on your phone, but also to brick it while the hacker accesses your data.

The Samsung devices with Exynos Abuse are:

  • Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
  • Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300
  • Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE GT-I9305
  • Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100
  • Verizon Galaxy Note 2 SCH-I605 (with locked bootloaders)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8010

However, the problem is that it doesn’t seem to be a permanent fix, but more like a temporary one because TrustGo gives a disclaimer that by using this it will disable the camera app and the only way to use the camera app is to uninstall their exploit disabler.
