Price
At time of writing the headset isn’t available at retail, however the headset is expected to cost around £99.99 at retail here in the UK, which isn’t exactly cheap, but it does bring it in line with other premium stereo headsets from Tritton, Steelseries and Razer, to name but a few.
Conclusion
I’m really pleased with what I have seen from the Level 10M, personally I was completely and utterly sold on it just based on its design. After spending the best part of an hour tinkering with it and taking photographs I simply fell in love with the look and the feel of it. The mixture of soft touch materials, smooth aluminium and sleek but industrial looking bolts and fittings make this one of the best looking headsets on the market. Of course, style is a subjective quality and some may not like it’s unique look.
Looks are just one aspect of this headset, I’ll personally take performance over looks any day when it comes to a headset. Audio reproduction is a big deal for me personally as is having something that is going to sound good time and time again, while also not leaving my head and ears fatigued from shaking bass, or a poor quality fit. The Level 10M fits my head nicely (a rare thing given that I have a relatively big head) and after having it on my head for half of the day for all my music and phone call needs, I really can’t complain. The sound quality hasn’t faltered once while flicking through movies and music, with the only difference being a slightly hollow sound when making phone calls through the headset.
TteSports have really put in the extra effort here and at this price point they’re up against some truly feirce competition, it is hard to find a bad headset around this price range and many of the others on the market are packed with crazy features that the Level 10M does have, such as virtual surround, EQ settings, LED lighting, multiple profiles and what ever other nonsense you don’t actually need in a headset. This works right out of the box and will always offer the same accurate performance, no settings to muck about with and that is what I like about it, it’s both complicated (in terms of design) and simple (in terms of usage).
Having the BMW design team on board may have helped this headset in the style department, but personally I don’t care who made it! All I know is it looks stunning, it performs as well as you would hope and the price is spot on given the overall build quality.
Pros
Cons
“Robust build quality backs up a truly unique and interesting design, it may not be the cheapest headset at £100 but the sound quality alone more than justifies the price tag, everything else is a massive bonus.”
