For under £40, I can’t expect much from the performance of this headset. However, I’m pleasantly surprised, as it packs quite a punch and clean sound that you rarely find in this price range. For gaming, it’s a joy to use and has plenty of offer in terms of bass and clear treble. It’s certainly enjoyable for FPS gaming.
It sounds pretty good for movies and music, at least for the casual multimedia consumer. It’s a little flat sounding in the mid ranges but makes up for it with clarity and loudness. If you’re listening to some 70’s prog rock, maybe get a dedicated set of headphones, but if you’re blasting out some thrash metal while you game, crank it!
The microphone isn’t much to write home about. It’s not a bad microphone, but it’s a leave you sounding a little weedy, not that I can think of a headset in this price range that doesn’t so don’t be too put off by this aspect, as it’ll get the job done.
