Turtle Beach is following up on the successful Stealth 500X headset with the new with a new wireless headset that they say will set a new standard of performance for the Xbox One: the Elite 800X.
The 500X was the first to bring totally wireless functionality to the Xbox One headsets and now the Elite 800X brings several more firsts to Xbox One gaming world. The new 800X include active noise cancellation and invisible, boom-free microphones. It also packs DTS 7.1 channel surround sound, customizable presets, a magnetic charging stand and swappable speaker plates.
It has digital optical (Toslink) input with pass through and USB and it has a wireless range of up to 10 meters. The speakers are 50mm with Neodymium Magnets with a frequency range from 20Hz to 20KHz. The ear pads are made from synthetic leather and memory foam inside.
The Elite 800X weighs 370g and is expected to launch at retail in the Spring of 2015, no word on pricing yet.
