TUXEDO Computers Launches Powerhouse Gemini 17 – Gen 4 Linux Laptop

TUXEDO Computers has unveiled the Gemini 17 – Gen 4, a new 17.3-inch Linux laptop engineered as a formidable desktop replacement for demanding users, excelling in both high-end gaming and professional workstation tasks. While its 2.8 kg weight and nearly 2.9 cm thickness mean it’s not ultra-portable, this design allows for a superior cooling system and uncompromising performance.

Gemini 17 – Gen 4: Performance and Features

The Gemini 17 is the first in its series to feature high-end graphics. It includes the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with a generous 12 GB GDDR7 VRAM, capable of running up to 140 watts. It also features the desktop-class Intel Core i9-14900HX processor. This powerhouse offers 24 CPU cores (8 performance, 16 efficiency) and single-core speeds up to 5.8 GHz, making it an excellent choice for gaming and heavy multi-tasking, capable of running up to 32 tasks simultaneously.

What We Think

The TUXEDO Gemini 17 – Gen 4 is a powerful machine built for users who need desktop performance and appreciate a Linux-first approach. The combination of the Core i9-14900HX and the RTX 5070 Ti provides serious horsepower for both high-end gaming and demanding creative workloads. Crucially, the size and weight pay off by allowing for the necessary cooling to keep those components running optimally. The inclusion of a high-quality, colour-accurate 240 Hz display cements its position as a solid professional workstation and enthusiast gaming machine.
