Ubisoft Reportedly Working on a Rainbow Six Siege Strategy Game
According to well-known leaker Tom Henderson, Ubisoft might be working on a strategy game set in the Rainbow Six Siege universe. This project aims to expand the popular Tom Clancy series. It seems Ubisoft has not abandoned the idea, and new details have emerged.
Two sources, apparently close to the project, shared with Henderson that the game will be set in the same world as Siege, but it will feature an isometric view, similar to XCOM. The game will have a strong focus on a campaign that is expected to last between 25 and 30 hours.
Gameplay and Features of the Strategy Game
The gameplay of this new strategy game will focus on recruiting new Operators, planning raids, rescuing hostages, and assaulting buildings occupied by enemy factions. The different abilities of the team members will play a key role in the success of each mission.
According to the information from Henderson’s sources, the game will share the tactical formula of Rainbow Six Siege. However, it will be in a more deliberate setting, where every decision counts. A wrong move could result in mission failure.
In addition, the release of the game isn’t imminent. It could take one or two more years before it arrives. The game is expected to be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a possibility of a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
