Valkyrie V240 Lite AIO CPU Cooler Review

A Closer Look

One thing that Valyrie has always excelled at is design, from the packaging to the final product; there’s a level of care to ensure the aesthetics look superb. Even just taking it out of the box, without the RGB lighting powered on, I think this is a great-looking cooler. I’m including a stock image as in the light in here, that pump is so reflective, it was a nightmare to get a picture of, but it looks dope in person.

The fans look excellent, with a large Valkyrie logo in the middle. The blades are frosted clear plastic, with built-in ARGB lighting in the motor housing that will illuminate them from the centre outwards. It’s all fully addressable RGB too, so you can customise it to your heart’s desire, pair it with your motherboard, a control hub and more.

The fans feature a Fluid Dynamic Bearing design, which allows for lower noise and a longer life span, which is always good to know. They can operate from just 800 RPM all the way up to 2150 RPM, giving you both ultra-low whisper-quiet performance or massive airflow as and when you need them. They also feature daisy chained modular cables, which is a nice bonus.

The radiator is pretty straightforward, with a 240mm design, and it offers the option to mount two 120mm fans on either side, allowing you to use a push or pull configuration to suit your needs or PC case requirements. Of course, just about any 120mm fans would fit on here, but the included ones look great, so I see no reason why you would want to swap them out.

The tubing is nice and flexible, with pivoting mounts on the pump to allow easy orientation within your build.

The pump looks awesome, with a clear section on the top allowing you to see the PCB on the interior. I like this stylish industrial aesthetic. Even with the RGB turned off, this is a nice-looking pump, but the upper left triangle with the Valkyrie logo is fully addressable RGB just like the fans, allowing a little more customisation.

The pump housing is nice and compact too, with many AIO coolers now featuring bigger designs and built-in displays; they’re much more expensive, trickier to install, and offer lower compatibility with smaller PC cases. Sure, those ones are pretty neat too, but I’ll take a more compact pump design all day long, just for ease of use. Plus, the top plate is magnetically mounted, allowing you to remove it, rotate it 90 degrees and clip it back on so the logo is always the right way up.

Valkyrie has equipped this AIO with their award-winning pump design, which is a patented design that they manufacture themselves, something we’ve actually seen them do in person when we visited their factory. It can operate at up to 2800 RPM and delivers class-leading performance.
