Valve Reportedly Has Two New VR Headsets on the Way
VR headsets are not exactly at the center of the gaming industry, but many companies are still trying to make a mark in this field — including Valve. Now, there are new signs suggesting that the Steam company is ready to push harder in the virtual reality space.
According to reports, Valve plans to reveal two new virtual reality headsets by the end of 2025.
Details on Valve’s “Deckard” VR Headsets
The information comes from SadlyItsDadly, a well-known VR leaker who shared code from the latest SteamVR beta. The code mentions both “Deckard DV1” and “Deckard DV2.” It’s also explained that “DV” indicates internal models in the final stage of development, which could mean these headsets are almost ready for release to the public.
The notable detail is that there are two versions of the Deckard, suggesting two distinct models. The differences between them remain unclear. It could simply be a matter of storage capacity, or perhaps one version is a “Lite” model — a more affordable option with reduced performance.
For now, all of this remains speculation, so it’s too early to draw conclusions. We might only need to wait a month or two to see if Valve truly has something new in store.
