Valve Unveils Steam Machine; Six Times More Powerful Than Steam Deck
The long-rumored Valve console, said to rival the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, has finally become reality. The American company led by Gabe Newell has officially unveiled the Steam Machine, a home platform based on SteamOS that delivers six times the graphical power of the Steam Deck.
The new “cube” designed by Valve adopts a minimalist form factor to bring PC gaming power into a compact but powerful device.
Valve explains that the Steam Machine is set to deliver performance far beyond that of the Steam Deck—about six times more powerful. Thanks to this boost, the system can handle every game in a user’s Steam Library, even demanding AAA titles. Once users log into their Steam account, their full library becomes instantly accessible and ready to play.
