Call of Duty fans are buzzing with excitement as Activision confirms the return of Verdansk, the iconic map from Warzone, set to reappear in Spring 2025. This announcement was made during the recent Call of Duty: Next event, ending months of speculation about the beloved map’s comeback. Verdansk, which debuted in March 2020, quickly became a fan favorite, but was removed in 2021 as the game introduced new maps.
Fans have been eager to revisit Verdansk’s memorable locations like Stadium, Train Station, and Superstore. However, it remains unclear if these points of interest will return unchanged or if Activision will introduce new elements to the map. Despite the uncertainty, the community is thrilled about the map’s return.
Alongside the Verdansk announcement, the Call of Duty: Next event revealed other exciting updates. A new map, Area 99, dubbed “the birthplace of Nuketown,” will debut in Warzone later this year as part of a new Resurgence mode. Additionally, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch on October 25, 2024, providing plenty of action to tide players over until Verdansk’s return.
