CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Read
The Defcon 3’s 120GB SSD exceeded my expectations given its budget focus and I didn’t expect it to reach read speeds anywhere near 550MB/s. This is an astonishing result and legitimately rivals some of the higher end SATA drives.
CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Write
Furthermore, the boot SSD achieved a very respectable write speed and almost broke the 500MB/s mark. While this isn’t the best score we’ve seen, it’s very good considering the drive’s price point. On another note, USB 3.0 write performance was strong and fairly close to reaching the first position.
