The development team at Owlcat Games has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader has surpassed an impressive milestone of one million copies sold. In a heartfelt message, they extended their gratitude to the fans who have supported their project.
“Reaching such a milestone in one year with our third game is a sign for us that we, as developers, are working in the right direction,” said Oleg Shpilchevskiy, President of Owlcat Games.
“Together with the fantastic team at Warhammer, we were able to create the СRPG of our dreams, one set in the grim dark future of the 41st millennium, and we will do our best to bring more stories to the endless universe of Warhammer 40,000.”
In September, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader expanded its content with the release of the Void Shadows expansion, introducing new narrative content seamlessly integrated into the main campaign. This included additional missions, formidable enemies, and a brand-new companion.
Currently, Owlcat Games is developing its second expansion, Lex Imperialis, which will feature a companion from the Adeptus Arbites, new areas to explore, and fresh mechanics, archetypes, and Immaterium-related horrors.
The Lex Imperialis expansion is slated for release later this year, with more details to come, according to the development team.
