Following Netflix‘ mini-Avengers-like crossover with the Defenders, Jessica Jones is back on her own series once again. This time, the tough-as-nails private detective is investigating her own origins and how she got her powers in the first place. While the first season introduced Jessica as having powers already, there are hints of larger forces at play experimenting with humans.
Aside from Krysten Ritter reprising the Jessica Jones role, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker is also returning. Supporting characters Carrie-Anne Moss as attorney Jeri Hogarth and Eka Darville as friend Malcolm Ducasse are also back for season 2.
The trailer introduces fans to new characters as well. Actor J.R. Ramirez is set to play Oscar who is likely to be Jones’ latest love interest. Actress Leah Gibson is also a new addition as ‘Ingrid’, who fans speculate will become the comic-book villain ‘Typhoid Mary’.
The series returns on Netflix starting March 8, 2018. Netflix has also announced that Luke Cage, Daredevil and Iron Fist will also continue on with their series in 2018. However, there are no firm release dates for the other shows yet.
