We Visited TechMax Expo 2026!

TechMax Expo 2026 is underway, and given we’re friends with the brands who attend, it would be have been rude not to stop by and say hello. Now, it’s fair to say, this is a business even (B2B), so it’s not where brands tend to reveal new products or announce anything. However, it’s providing a vital service to the retailers, system builders, and brands based here in the UK. Allowing them to get hands on with the latest products from each brand, something they might not normally get a chance to do without buying them into stock first.

It’s also a key networking event, supporting UK businesses, both at the booths, and with some good times at the conveniently near bye bar, and food area. They also put on some entertainment and a bit of an evening celebration and dinner, but hey, you don’t have to twist my arm to partake in that aspect of it all.

This is actually our second TechMax, having attended last year we were suitable impressed by the size of the event, the community it builds, and the growth of the UK market as a whole. Seeing so many brands, media and more there is encouraging, as that is the industry we are in, and it’s still plenty busy!

The list of brands is pretty extensive, and they’re not even all brands we know or work with ourselves, so even we’re learning a few new names and products at the show. Such as the NEOX series of coolers, which certainly look fantastic.

Our friends at long-time eTeknix supporters such as Seasonic, INNO3D, Scan Computers and more were out in force, particularly Scan who are the largest IT retailer in the UK, so it’s no surprise that they had a large showing here, given they’re celebrating their 40th year in business; congratulation to the whole Scan team for that achievement!

A welcome name here at the show is one of our absolute favourite brands, Valkyrie. They had their stunning new PC cases on show, albeit these aren’t new to us, as we saw them at Computex 2026, as well as their latest peripherals, such as the M1 Pro gaming mouse.

The legendary German case maker be quiet! were here too, again, not new products, but they had some of their big hitters on show, including their latest air and water coolers, and a few of their more unique PC cases.

UGREEN are one of those brands that just crept up on us, with a great range of networking gear, cables, charges and more, there’s a reason there’s so many of them as best sellers on Amazon, and while we took a look at their NAS at the event, we actually have a few in the office being tested right now, so stay tuned for those, as they’re pretty special!

CaseKing UK do just about everything, one of the biggest retailers in the business, and even own Overclockers UK, making them even bigger. They had all the usual tech out on show, as well as a lovely racing rig for us to play on; can’t resist a cosy chair and a good steering wheel!

Of course, there’s a lot more brands here, and we certainly won’t be listing them all. But Apacer and Lexar are here, they did have memory and SSDs on their booth, but weren’t given away free samples, unfortunately. VIP hd a great range of brands that they support UK retailers with, and big hitters from the UK such as the Gigabyte team, with their latest Infinity graphics card, which we just reviewed actually!

Overall, it looks like it’s been a great turnout for the UK tech sector, and there’s a lot of fantastic brands and products in the market for the second half of the year. Now, I guess it’s time to check out the bar and this evening celebration we were talking about!
