Have you got your hands on the new Samsung Gear smart watch? If you’re board of the current Android Wear operating system, why not get your modding cap on and have a little fun with it; install Windows 95!
Corbin Davenport is already known to have hacked his Samsung Gear to play Minecraft, but installing a full OS is certainly a bigger achievement. While I admit that this is a little pointless, it’s also really cool and a welcome demonstration of what can be done with current smart watch technology.
Corbin states that this will not void your warranty, but it will be a little time-consuming and require quite a bit of tinkering with the software to get the OS into place. He’s been nice enough to publish a full guide for those who want to follow in his footsteps.
Will you be trying to install Windows 95 on your start watch? I’ll be honest, I’m pretty tempted to give it a go.
Thank you Corbin for providing us with this information.
