According to various sources across the internet Microsoft’s next generation of operating system, Wind0ws Blue, has been leaked. Confirmations about the legitimacy of the ISO are not yet present so we do not know how accurate the leaked build is. Very little is known about the Windows Blue operating system but the particular build that was leaked had the filename “9364.0.FBL_PARTNER_OUT13.130315-2105_X86FRE_CLIENT” was a 2.63GB ISO file and ran as a 32bit OS. The copy is clearly an evaluation copy that is built on the ability to switch between Windows 8 and Windows “Blue”. We anticipate that because the build is so early on in its development its features and design will remain similar to Windows 8 until the mechanics of the new build are fully designed – this perhaps explains why the differences between these Windows Blue screen shots and Windows 8 are minimal.
Straight away it seems like this Windows Blue build is very similar to Windows 8, some are even dubbing it Windows 8 SP1 which seems plausible. The Windows 8 user interface appears to be maintained and very little is known about what the images are showing that is different from Windows 8 and whether they are actually “real”. The “Switch to Win8 Ver” option would suggest this evaluation copy of Windows Blue is very similar to and compatible with Windows 8.
