The Witcher 3 Will Soon Receive Nvidia Ansel Support

Just in case you’re not too familiarized with Nvidia’s Ansel technology, we’re here to tell you that it offers a unique, revolutionary way to capture beautiful in-game screenshots and view them from amazing 360-degree perspectives. However, it’s worth noting that only some Nvidia GPUs actually support this new feature, and these include the newly released GTX 1060 as well as the GTX 1080, GTX 1070, GTX 980m and GTX 970m.

“Ansel is a revolutionary new way to capture in-game shots and view in 360. Compose your screenshots from any position, adjust them with post-process filters, capture HDR images in high-fidelity formats, and share them in 360 degrees using your mobile phone, PC, or VR headset.”

Now that we’ve told you a bit about the hardware requirements for this technology, it’s time to focus on the software part a bit, and what game would be better suited for 360-degree screenshots than CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? This incredibly successful game will receive official Ansel support on August 15, which means that we’re bound to stumble upon some truly breathtaking images after this date. The official Facebook page for The Witcher has actually released a sample screenshot in order to give us a glimpse of this awesome technology, and you can have a look at it yourself right here.
