The new partnership between Discord and Microsoft, first announced by Asha Sharma, officially begins on Monday, May 11, with the arrival of several bonuses and rewards for Discord Nitro and Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
Created to “make Game Pass more flexible,” the collaboration between Microsoft and Discord will offer new benefits to both Xbox Game Pass subscribers and Discord Nitro members. Discord Nitro users will also gain access to the Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition.
Xbox Game Pass and Discord Announce New Rewards for Subscribers
Discord Nitro subscribers will be able to access a library of more than 50 games for PC and Xbox consoles, including titles such as Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic, Overcooked 2 and Grounded. They will also receive 10 hours of Xbox Cloud Gaming access every month.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers, meanwhile, will start receiving Discord Nitro benefits starting at the end of May. Some of the bonuses include 250 Discord Orbs every month, a 1.2x multiplier for Discord Orbs earned through Missions, and automatic discounts in the Discord Shop.
Later this month, Microsoft will share more details about which Xbox Game Pass users will be eligible for Discord Nitro benefits and will further explain the terms of the partnership.
