Xbox Game Pass Surprises Fans with Two New Titles for 2026
While fans are still waiting for the official announcement of January’s lineup, Xbox Game Pass surprised subscribers today, January 6, 2026, by adding two unexpected titles to the catalog — Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition and Brews & Bastards.
These games were made available without any prior notice from Microsoft, sparking speculation that more announcements may arrive soon, possibly even within the week.
After the usual end-of-year break, the official list of January titles has yet to be revealed. The sudden additions suggest that Microsoft might be preparing a larger wave of news through its official channels shortly.
The Two New Titles Added Today
Subscribers can now enjoy two new additions that appeared suddenly on Game Pass. Of course, more titles are expected to follow later this month, alongside the already announced releases — MIO: Memories In Orbit (coming January 20) and Nova Roma (coming January 22).
Both of those are scheduled for the second half of the month.
Considering that the Xbox Developer Direct is also rumored to take place in late January, with its date possibly being announced soon, it’s fair to expect even more updates and new titles heading to the service.
The two surprise additions are:
- Brews & Bastards (Series X|S, PC, Cloud) – Released January 6
- Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition (Series X|S, PC, Cloud) – Released January 6
Brews & Bastards is a co-op dungeon crawler and twin-stick shooter centered around a beer-themed fantasy world. Meanwhile, Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition offers a hauntingly beautiful adventure in 4K and 60 FPS, delivering the chilling atmosphere that made the original by Tarsier Studio so popular.
