Xbox Game Pass Will Lose Seven Games at the End of January
As we wait for Microsoft to announce the new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass later this month, news has arrived about the games leaving the service. By the end of January, seven indie titles will be removed from the catalog — and some of them are definitely worth checking out before they go.
According to an update on the official Xbox app, the following games will leave Game Pass on January 31, 2026:
- Cataclismo (PC)
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Xbox, PC, Cloud)
- Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Xbox, PC, Cloud)
- Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Xbox, PC, Cloud)
- PAW Patrol World (Xbox, PC, Cloud)
- Shady Part of Me (Xbox, PC, Cloud)
- Starbound (Xbox, PC, Cloud)
While there are no major AAA games on this list, it’s a collection of creative indie titles that have been well-received by fans and critics alike.
Highlights Among the Departing Titles
Among the games set to leave, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector stands out as one of the most intriguing narrative RPGs of recent years, combining a rich sci-fi setting with deep storytelling. Another notable title is Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a charming yet challenging mountain biking game known for its relaxing visuals and addictive gameplay.
Players who haven’t yet tried these titles still have time to do so before the end of the month. Once they’re gone, they’ll need to be purchased separately to continue playing.
The announcement about which new games will join Game Pass for the second half of January is expected next week — most likely on Tuesday, following Microsoft’s usual schedule. However, with the Xbox Developer Direct event planned for January 22, it’s possible that the company will reveal the lineup during that presentation instead.
