While playing with friends is nice, once in a while you just want to play in peaceful solitude. If you are that type of player then you’d be glad to hear that the Microsoft Xbox One is getting a “Do Not Disturb” mode . This mode will suppress all incoming notifications and messages. It also informs online friends that you are not available for gaming, while letting you play your games instead of going offline entirely.
This new mode is also especially useful for those who want to improve their skills. Eliminating the distraction or pressure of having an audience. For games like Street Fighter V or Tekken 7 for example, sometimes players just want to practice combos. It also ensures that users can practice new tactics on others before springing it on friends.
New Year, New Xbox One Update
Aside from the new “Do Not Disturb” mode, Mini Game Hubs will soon be available right in the Guide. With this feature, players will be able to access great content without leaving the action entirely. This Mini Game Hub also provides an easy way to see friends who are online or are in a game. It can also display upcoming achievements, view group posts and more.
In terms of aesthetics, the latest update will also give users the ability to switch between light and dark themes on schedule. Users can have it automatically set to a dark theme at night if they prefer the screen to not be too bright.
Players will also now be able to see the “Next Achievements” feature in the Guide, which enables you to view and sort a cross-games list of upcoming Achievements. View Achievements in games you are closest to, and quickly launch the game to obtain them. Sort filters allow you to prioritize next Achievements by closest, most common, rarest, most common rare, and highest Gamerscore.
