Xeron Launches New NEX A61 ARGB CPU Air Cooler

Xeron has introduced its latest single-tower CPU air cooler, the NEX A61 ARGB. Taking care of the latest and greatest gaming CPUs, with a focus on looking great, and keeping noise levels nice and low; which frankly is what most CPU coolers do, but I’ll admit, this does look neat for a very affordable cooler.

The cooler features an offset heatsink profile that shifts the fin stack away from the motherboard memory slots, allowing enthusiasts to install tall memory modules without running into clearance issues. Heat transfer is handled by direct-touch heatpipes arranged in a triple-parallel layout across the base to ensure effective coverage over dense processor dies.

Active airflow comes via a push-pull setup sporting two high-strength fans equipped with full-circumference silent ring-blades. This connected outer ring reinforces the blades to minimise resonance and unwanted vibration. Spinning at up to 1800 RPM, the fans manage to cap noise levels at 29.9 dB(A), striking a practical balance between quiet daily operation and sustained performance under heavy multi-threaded loads.

Aesthetic duties are covered by addressable RGB lighting integrated into both fans, with support for standard motherboard sync utilities from ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, and ASRock. Finishing off the presentation is a magnetic top cover that snaps on and off without tools, hiding the heatpipe ends for a tidy interior look.

The cooler brings a solid balance of enthusiast-friendly specifications, offering targeted thermal performance for modern multi-core platforms alongside straightforward memory compatibility:

  • AM5-tuned thermal architecture for high-performance AMD processors
  • Direct-touch heatpipe design
  • Triple-parallel-pipe precision heat coverage
  • Dual-fan push-pull configuration
  • Full-circumference silent ring-blade fans
  • Fan speed of up to 1800 RPM
  • Noise levels as low as 29.9 dB(A)
  • Full-illumination ARGB lighting on both fans
  • Motherboard ARGB synchronisation support
  • Tool-free magnetic top-cover design
  • Offset single-tower design for improved memory clearance
  • Support for tall-profile RAM
  • Compatible with Intel and AMD platforms
  • Designed to handle flagship processors including Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and Ryzen 7 9850X3D

Broad Platform Compatibility

While the thermal layout is particularly tuned to address the concentrated hotspots of AMD socket AM5 processors, such as the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Ryzen 7 9850X3D, and Ryzen 9 9950X3D, the cooler includes mounting hardware for both current Intel and AMD desktop sockets.

Where to Buy

The XERON NEX A61 ARGB is available in both black and white colour options, carrying an MSRP of $34.99 for the black edition and $36.99 for the white edition.
