Internally the XFX PRO 450W Core Edition is based on the Seasonic S12II platform, but the variant that does not use DC to DC VRMs or solid capacitors. The regulation capacitors are rated for 105 degrees and are made by Chemi-Con which means they are still “Jap Caps”. As far as the internal build quality goes we’ve got all the finesse and expertise of Seasonic but overall the quality of the components used could be better. However, for the price point they are perfectly adequate for making a decent quality entry-level power supply, remember this is supposed to be a budget platform. The fan used is an ADDA AD1212MB-A70GL, a fan we have seen before on Antec’s NeoEco 520, so from experience we know this power supply will not be very quiet. The main hold-up capacitor is a 400v, 270uF and 85 degrees rated unit.
