Xigmatek Gaia SD1283 CPU Cooler Review

Looking at the front of the box, we can see the cooler’s name, brand, compatibility badges and key features. A picture of the Gaia itself also accompanies the aforementioned details.

Moving around to the rear of the packaging, we see a more detailed specification table present along with some contact information.

Xigmatek supply all of the necessary mounting hardware for modern Intel and AMD sockets. The back plate is comprised of very strong metal with a foam damper ensuring that it doesn’t short out your motherboard. 8 anti-vibration rubber fan mounts allow the use of a pair of 120mm fans in a push-pull configuration. An annoying point that we also noticed with the Xigmatek Loki SD963 is that a sachet of thermal paste is supplied, rather than a tube. A tube would have meant a slight increase in cost, but would make multiple installations far cleaner and more convenient.

A seemingly thorough instruction manual and leaflet outlining the warranty procedure complete the bundled accessories.
