Results (Idle Temperature)
As said, when testing, we must make sure that the ambient room temperature is the same throughout the testing phase, but also have to make sure a similar amount of thermal paste is used and that it’s the same thermal paste that we conduct our tests with.
On the idle test, we let our test system sit for 15 minutes with no applications running and then measured the temperature which gave some clear indications on the coolers potential over some of the other models tested.
There was quite a big difference between the offering from CoolerMaster, but the Hyper 212 Plus is a more expensive cooler, with a slightly bigger fan so the results weren’t too suprising.
