Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut: Comparison Between Nintendo Switch 2 and PS4 Versions
A comparison between the Nintendo Switch 2 and PS4 versions of Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut has appeared online, highlighting the differences between the original version of the prequel and the Director’s Cut, which will be available starting June 5.
Despite both versions running at 60 fps, the PS4 version often shows a less stable and more inconsistent frame rate. On the other hand, the Switch 2 version offers a much smoother and more solid performance, making the experience noticeably better.
Image Quality and Details
The image quality is another area where the Switch 2 version stands out. The resolution is clearly superior, offering greater detail and sharper textures compared to the PS4 version. This makes the gameplay look even better on the new Nintendo console.
Additionally, the Switch 2 version will include several new features, including new cutscenes and the Kachikomi Online Battle cooperative multiplayer mode.
A Fresh Start for Yakuza on Nintendo Switch 2?
Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, announced last month, could mark the beginning of a new chapter for the Yakuza series on Nintendo platforms. If the game is successful, it might pave the way for more Yakuza games to arrive on the console.
There is even a chance that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is already working on Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 for the Switch.
