Yakuza 5 is Coming to the PS3 in Europe and the US in 2015

Sega has announced that Yakuza 5 will launch on the PlayStation Network for the PS3 (not the PS4, boo) in Europe and the United States sometime in 2015. Considering the game came out in Japan in… 2012… you’d think Sega would’ve released it elsewhere in the world sooner.

At the strike of midnight on Sunday, Sega will launch Yakuza 4 and Yakuza: Dead Souls on the PS3 through PSN in Europe. Yakuza 5 on the other hand, continues the story of “Kazuma Kiryu, alongside four other protagonists. It’s set in five Japanese cities, includes a raft of mini-games and a modified battle system. Also included is Another Drama, a series of side stories that focus on each protagonist in-depth” reports Eurogamer.

Sega of America’s boss, John Cheng said “The world of the Yakuza series has fascinated gamers in Japan and the West for many years. We know fans have been eagerly awaiting a release of Yakuza 5 here and we are thrilled to finally launch this spectacular entry in the series in North America and Europe.”

For those waiting on news about Yakuza 0, you’ll have to wait, but it is still due out next year for both the PS4 and PS3… in Japan at least.
