Yooka-Laylee Goes Free on the Epic Games Store

Released back in 2017, Yooka-Laylee garnered a lot of attention from the gaming community and particularly so given that it was touted as something of a spiritual successor to the highly popular Banjo Kazooie franchise. While the reviews for it (both critical and fan) were somewhat largely tepid, however, if you haven’t had a chance to check it out for yourself yet, then this might be your best chance. Why? Well, following the launch of the Epic Games Store’s latest giveaway, you can claim a copy of Yooka-Laylee to own, play, and keep forever!

Epic Games Store -Yooka-Laylee Giveaway!

The Yooka-Laylee giveaway is available to claim now up until the 26th of August. And if that doesn’t particularly tickle your fancy, or you want more, then ‘Void Bastards’ is also being given away for free as part of their latest promotion. Sticking with Yooka-Laylee, however, the official description reads:

“Yooka-Laylee is an all-new open-world platformer from genre veterans Playtonic!

Explore huge, beautiful worlds, meet (and beat) an unforgettable cast of characters and horde a vault-load of shiny collectibles as buddy-duo Yooka (the green one) and Laylee (the wisecracking bat with the big nose) embark on an epic adventure to thwart corporate creep Capital B and his devious scheme to absorb all the world’s books… and convert them into pure profit!

Using their arsenal of special moves, our heroes will tackle a huge variety of puzzles and platforming challenges in their search for Pagies, the golden bounty used to unlock — and expand — stunning new worlds, each jammed to the gills with oddball characters, hulking bosses, minecart challenges, arcade games, quiz shows, multiplayer games… and much more!”

How Can I Grab My Copy?

Presuming you want to grab your free games (which sounds like a great opportunity to kill some time with the weekend upon us!), all you need to do is download the Epic Games launcher app, set up an account, check out the front page, and click on it to claim your copy! That’s it!

However, if you do want to learn more, you can check out the official Yooka-Laylee Epic Games Store website via the link here!
