Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an awesome game. While it wasn’t what everyone wanted, it did take the Zelda series in much-needed new directions. It’s, therefore, excellent news that details of the new DLC ‘The Champions’ Ballad’ have been leaked.
What do we know so far? Well, you’re still Link, but you are going to apparently see a lot more of Zelda in this DLC. Given how little she appeared in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you would be forgiven to have forgotten that your mission was to save her. Oh, and the world as well I guess. I don’t know, I was far too busy Shrine Hunting.
We did get a peek into what would expect from this at E3 a little while ago, but it seems Nintendo is keen to tease a little bit more.
Building on the Master Trials DLC this one promises to provide a lot more story and a new Dungeon to the game reports NextPowerUp.
Some were a little let down by this DLC. They felt it was more of DLC built out of unused features rather than a stand alone expansion. It should be noted that most fans of Zelda: Breath of the Wild appreciate that this new DLC will contain a lot more substance than the previous.
The real mystery we have at the moment is when this is going to be released. Nintendo has given a rather cryptic date of ‘Holidays 2017’. I’m personally going on Holiday next week, so maybe then. I doubt that Nintendo runs it’s scheduling off me. It would, however, be sod’s law for a cracking DLC to be released just when I can’t use it.
The add-on is included within the £18 season pass and compared to others *cough* Battlefield 1 Premium *cough*, this one does seem to provide an excellent bit of value.
