Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake Gets Co-Op Mode

I’ve been a huge fan of the Unreal Engine remakes of classic games, and admittedly, other game engine examples are available, but the work of people like CryZENx has been the real star of the show for quite some time now. Oh, and some respectful nods to the recent Mario 64 optimisations that are simply mind-blowing. However, as I’ve tracked this project over the years, it’s gone from simple concepts to beyond the original scope of the game. The latest build showcases a new co-op mode, meaning you can have a friend join you in your nut throwing and chicken chasing adventures.
Today, CryZENx shared a new video showcasing the latest build, and amazingly, it features a co-op mode. According to CryZENx, you’ll be able to join your friend from Kokiri forest right up to beating Gohma. Not only that, but it looks like the mechanics of it all work rather well. I know what I’ll be doing tonight once the kids are back from school! I can only imagine what my childhood would have been like with a co-op Zelda game!

This is a true work of art. With all the lighting systems, volumetric effects, and truly amazing graphics and textures, this is rapidly becoming the ultimate tribute to such a great game. Of course, I’m sure there’s more to come, so stay tuned.
