A Closer Look

The packaging for the Vengeance is quite typical of Corsair and displays a bright bold view of what the modules look like once seated in their slots. The size, model name and comparability are also displayed clearly on the front.

The rear gives a bit of marketing information about the modules and includes a cut-out to give a view of the modules barcode label.

Once the packaging has been opened up, inside sees the modules individually encased in plastic clamshell style packaging. No leaflets or installation instructions are included, but even for the novice user; it’s not rocket science.

Being part of the “Low Profile” range means that the stylish blue heatspreaders don’t protrude over the PCB as with a lot of modules on the market today. The Corsair and Vengeance branding are positioned in the middle, whilst the rest of the heatspreaders includes an embossed set of strips.

The other side of the modules follows the same style and design, but instead of including the Vengeance branding, a barcode information sticker is fitted with all of the relevant specifications you may need.

This includes the model name, kit size and specific module size, serial numbers, speed, timings and voltage. Everything to make it easily identifiable when purchasing memory as this sticker can be seen through the packaging as we saw earlier on.

Upon installing the memory, we were able to set the memory speed, and the timings and voltage automatically followed and the system booted at its rated speed with no problems.
