Halo 5: Forge to Hit Windows 10 Next Month

While I’m sure many of us would prefer the main Halo series to hit the Windows platform, it’s clear that Microsoft are making the right steps towards making that one of many possible futures. We had Forza: Apex, now we’re getting all future Forza games on PC. Now we’re getting Halo 5: Forge, so perhaps we’ll get future Halo titles on PC also.

Halo 5: Forge, the fantastic level creation tool will let you design, share and play levels and multiplayer maps of your own and others creation and it’s heading to Windows 10 on September 8th!

Here’s where things get a little muddled. Is Halo 5 on PC? No. However, you can create custom maps, and play them on your PC with up to 15 other players, which is still a welcome treat regardless. Other than that, the main focus here is being able to use the precision offered by keyboard and mouse to create better worlds that can then be uploaded and played on the Xbox One.

Halo 5: Forge will support 4K resolutions, making your content creation a little easier on the eye, but let’s just hope this really is the key to open up the Halo door to the PC market, again.
