Addonics Announces Jasper II Expandable Drive Duplicators

Addonics has announced the launch of a new series in their line-up, the Jasper II. The Jasper II is a series of drive duplicators in various sizes and with the added bonus of daisy chaining for nearly endless cloning. The series doesn’t just work with 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SSD and HDD drives, there are models for mSATA, M.2, CFast and CF cards. Even IDE drive can be supported.

The Jasper II Duplicator can copy at a rate up to 260MB/s which is more than double the performance of most duplicators on the market. The Jasper II duplicator doesn’t lose performance either when the load increases and it can maintain the same performance no matter the number of drives in the copying process.

The are 1 to 3, 1 to 11, and 1 to 19 duplicators available and they can be daisy chained with normal eSATA cables until your needs are met. The systems also allow cross copying from one form factor to another with the only limit being which you set up with the source drive.

The Jasper II Duplicator is naturally a stand alone unit that works without the need for a control system. The built-in display and buttons allow you to take care of everything directly on the unit. Besides a copy function, the Jasper II Duplicator also includes features such as drive sanitising to wipe data off used hard drive, option to copy HPA, option to copy data only, or the option to copy sector by sector.

The price variates depending on the model, naturally. The fun starts at $545 for a one to one 3.5-Inch/2.5-Inch model while the one to nineteen model costs as much as $4159. A one to eleven M.2/mSATA version will cost $2799. Those aren’t small prices, but they aren’t high either for those who need this kind of equipment, especially considering the expandability as your needs grow.

You can check out the full line-up of the 9 new models by visiting the official Jasper II category.
