Airbnb is just one of these companies, facing great success in a short space of time and now it would appear that its started to go a little crazy with power.
Founded in 2008, Airbnb is a simple process where you book a room that’s provided by someone local to the area. The latest lawsuit comes as Airbnb faces off against the city of San Francisco who now require that the company registers the hosts it has within the city. The more interesting part of this is that Airbnb actually agreed to cap the short-term rents it had available in the city along with registering any hosts within the city. In short, it would appear that the company is suing the city for something it agreed to do, in essence, it’s suing itself.
