Akasa Helix Widescreen Notebook Cooler Review

A Closer LookTaking it out of the packaging and protective wrap we see that it is an aluminium cooler which looks fairly solid. From the top we can also see the Akasa logo and the two handles as well as the fan mounts. The design is very simple, with lots of large holes to allow the air through as well as two small ridges to raise the centre of the laptop off the fan which should aid in airflow underneath the laptop.

From the bottom of the cooler we can see the fan itself and how it is held in place by 4 rubber grommets.

Here is the cooler without the fan in place.

The fan assembly can now be seen, which includes a very simple controller to give you either low speed or high speed.

On the left hand side is a socket for the power cable as well as an on-off slide switch. It is certainly a very simple device!
