AlphaSync Canine Pure Base 500 Gaming PC Review

A Closer Look

Since I took the window off to remove that foam padding, let’s start there. The interior of the system clearly arrived in one piece. The GPU hasn’t sagged, the CPU cooler is still in place, and we’re good to go. It certainly looks awesome in here, with that ASUS motherboard keeping a pretty strict monochrome theme with the rest of the hardware and the case.

It’s pretty dark in there, with mostly black hardware the case is very stealthy. Of course, any RGB lighting will shine through just fine.

The be quiet! 500 PC case is an interesting choice, with a really toned-down look that’s quite stealthy on its own. Of course, fire up the RGB on this case, it provides an even stronger contrast that really makes the lighting pop.

You’ll find RGB on both the 120mm fans of the AIO, which are mounted in the top of the case. There’s also RGB on the AIO pump, as well as on that gorgeous Corsair Vengeance DDR4 memory.

Obviously, at this angle, it’s going to really stand out. However, with the PC on your floor under your desk, it’ll provide more of an ambient light to the lower parts of the case rather than something more in your face. It’s also not overly bright, the colours are strong but it’s not overpowered.

The stars of the show in this system are the Ryzen 7 3800X, which should be able to hit those boost clocks consistently with the help of the 280mm AIO. Of course, there’s a mythical GPU here, the rarely seen RTX 3080 from MSI, which we know is a very fast card.

The case makes use of a single 140mm fan in the front and 120mm in the back.

Of course, the CPU fans vent out the top of the case. If it were me, and I tend to be me a lot, I’d have another 140mm in the front. The case isn’t exactly high airflow to begin with, so increasing that air pressure would be good for the system.

Overall, it’s a gorgeous looking build, and even the cable routing is perfect. Actually, it’s better than what I would do myself, just look at that cable tie work on the GPU cables!
