AlphaSync Canine SPEC-7X Gaming PC Review

The Exterior

The interior of the Canine is actually pretty neat. There’s nothing too extreme going on here, but as it is, things are colour matched quite nicely. Well, tone matched, since it’s pretty much all black, silver and a few dashes of white.

The ASUS RTX 2060 STRIX is a fantastic looking graphics card. Plus, in this Corsair case, it has lots of breathing room. A few slots below it, there’s a PCIe WiFi card, as the motherboard didn’t support it natively.

It’s nice to see the careful use of cable ties to keep things neat. They don’t appear to have been over tightened, but that extra 2-pin on the left isn’t sticking up in the air. The 24-pin on the motherboard has been allowed to loop around rather than bend the cable too much, but there’s nothing stopping you from pulling it tighter to clean up the look.

The Hyper 212 coolers from Cooler Master have come a long way. This new model looks much more modern and should make easy work of the newer and more efficient 3rd Gen Ryzen CPU.

Plus, there’s great airflow throughout the case with virtually no obstructions to the airflow. There’s a good quality Corsair exhaust fan in the rear.

Plus, a filtered air intake at the front with the intake fan bias towards the air-hungry graphics card.

There’s even more airflow up on the top, allowing heat to passively exit the system. Plus, if you did need to add more fans, you have that option too.

Overall a very clean looking build. Plus, the Corsair case matches the monochrome interior of the build.

There’s even a curvy LED strip on the front, which will give it a little bit of bling when powered up.

The lighting is fairly subtle, but it gives a little light from the strip as well as a down light on the front panel.
