Whilst the AMD conference took place at Computex 2011 in Taiwan, AMD made a statement many had expected after recent rumours. The new line of AMD “Bulldozer” processors would officially be delayed until “late summer”.
Although no official date is set, AMD suggested that we would now have to wait until late July or early August to see these new processors hit the market in an official capacity. However, the 9 series chipset and AM3+ socket motherboards will continue to be launched at full speed as people can still use existing AM3 processors with these new motherboards.
In case you have been living in a bubble for the past month or so and are unaware of what the “Bulldozer” is all about you can catch up here.
