3DMark 11
3DMark 11 is the latest offering from Futuremark, taking full advantage of DirectX 11 by utilising tessellation features and volumetric lighting. It takes your graphics and CPU hardware to the edge to simulate the most extreme conditions whilst working as a stand point to compare results with other users online.
Moving over to the gaming side of things, we can see that in 3DMark 11, the FX 8350 once again was nearer the bottom but on the extreme preset, it did score better than the i5 3570k and was very close to the performance of the higher-end Intel processors. On the performance preset, the 8350 performed close to the i5 3570k but was quite behind the higher-end i7 processors. The overclock helped in both extreme and performance presets, bringing the score closer in-line with the other CPUs tested.
