AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB Graphics Card Video Review

The AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB is aimed at the mainstream to enthusiast market and has a lot of improved features including 2nd generation DirectX11 and AMD Eyefinity.

It has taken over from the 5750 and includes the rebranding that AMD have invested from dropping the ATI brand. Due to this, the card has renamed features and also support for upto 6 monitors.

If you want a card that is reasonably priced and gives great performance, then this is a card worth looking at.

This refference cooling system is kinda old. They should change it to bring some new. So this 6850 is basiclly fighting with the GTX460, however i think AMD should have launched it at a lower price. I`ve seen in some tests that 6850 is overtaken by the GTX460. And Nvidia dropped its price at a very affordable level. Till now, everything moves forward and it`s good for us, maybe when Christmas comes we will have some pretty good deals.

The 6850 has got a low price point at £130 in the UK with the GTX 460 being about £50 more. Also, the one we compared it with is a "beast" edition so its factory overclocked.Andy

Well, here the 6850 costs more than the GTX460. Still this is a smart thing from AMD aiming the best buy level from Nvidia.
