AMD Ryzen 7 5800X & Ryzen 9 5950X Review

Overclocking

5950X @ 4.6GHz using 1.275v. It would boot at 4.7GHz but wasn’t stable under our current setup.

5800X @ 4.8GHz using 1.335v. We did manage to hit 5GHz, but even at 1.4v it wasn’t stable so we backed off until it was stable on all cores.

Peter Donnell

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
