AMD Ryzen 7000 Specs Leak With Aggressive New Price Strategy?
Mike Sanders / 5 days ago
Earlier this week, information appeared online seemingly confirming not just the launch date for AMD Ryzen 7000, but also when we could expect them to land with retailers. – It was clearly a pretty substantial piece of information that only really left two key questions unanswered. Firstly, what kind of specifications we might be looking at for the upcoming launch models, and secondly, roughly what kind of price/s can we consumers could expect to see.
AMD Ryzen 7000 – Specifications and Prices!
In terms of the specifications, we’re going to let you digest these yourself, but on the whole, we certainly seem to be looking at some impressive figures here and particularly so in regards to the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X flagship (a 5.7GHz out of the box boost clock speed clearly warrants more than a little attention!).
Without a doubt, however, the stand-out information for me is the pricing. Put simply, it would appear that even when compared to prior Ryzen generations, AMD is basically going to apply a circa $50-$100 price cut on the Ryzen 7000 series. – Yes, if this leak is accurate, then you might be able to buy the AMD Ryzen 7600X for around $200! Hell, even the 7700X might only be $300 which, quite frankly, represents some ridiculously good value for money!
Overall, we’ll freely concede that this pricing might be a little too good to be true. Again though, if proven correct, this will clearly represent a new and highly aggressive pricing strategy from AMD that will put a huge amount of pressure on Intel’s Raptor Lake series which is set to release at, roughly speaking, about the same time!
