AMD to introduce Piledriver Opteron Lineup

AMD is rumoured to introduce the new Opteron 3300 and 4300 series. The Opteron 4300 series offers 6 different processors with either Quad, Hexa and 8 core options with clock speed between 2.2 GHz and 3.5 GHz and TDP between 35 W to 95 W range.

The cheapest model- Opteron 4334 should cost $191, 4332HE to about $501 whereas Opteron 3300 series comes with 3 Quad and 8 core processors priced between $125 to $229.

There’s also the the AMD Opteron 6000 Series will be with 4- core, 8- core, 12- core and the world’s first x86 16- Core Processor. 600 SE is aimed for “highest performance” with 140 W TDP, Opteron 6000 as a mainstream with 115 W TDP, 6000 HE aiming for power efficiency with 85 W TDP Rating.

Looking at the enterprise roadmap above, Low Power processors Delhi/ Orochi-C & Abu Dhabi and Seoul would be present throughout 2013 and probably half part of 2014.
