Antec DP503 Mid-Tower PC Case Review

How Much Does it Cost?

The Antec DP503 is available now from most major retailers. For some reason, the Amazon listing is in French, but it’s listed for a very reasonable £109.23 in the UK and $119.99 in the US. That’s really good value for money given the level of features and build quality on offer. Even for the fact it comes with those three ARGB fans, and it’s really very strong competition in today’s market, especially when the same features and price offers up a wave of case companies I’ve never bloody heard of while named brands can be £20-30 more expensive for similar.

Overview

Antec is one of the oldest and most well-known PC case brands on the market. I’ve used their cases several times over the last two decades and I’ve always been happy with what they had to offer. Antec seems to hold true with the trend of being a little bit cheaper but still built surprisingly robustly compared to a lot of their rivals. The DP503 looks a bit brash and aggressive, and it’s certainly appealing to the gamer market, but hey, that’s hardly a bad thing.

Antec does make more refined and premium-looking cases, and they’re priced to reflect that. While the DP503 is a more affordable model relative to its size and features, its quality and design are certainly standing out in a market that’s littered with trashy copies with no-name brands.

The build quality is great, and it’s the little details that add up to something surprisingly premium given the price tag. The 4mm tempered glass is seamless (no holes cut into it), and features a grooved mount on the bottom to prevent shattering. The thumbscrews are captive, so they stay attached to the side panels. The GPU holder is built-in. The cable routing space is vast, and there are eight lovely rubber grommets. There are Velcro straps, reusable expansion slot covers, quick-release drive mounts, and even a built-in ARGB and fan hub. Really, this case is ticking all the right boxes.

Overview

The Antec DP503 is a slightly larger mid-tower case design that offers little in the way of innovation. However, it gets literally everything right in terms of ergonomics and usability, making it an easy case to work with, but also a striking design that’s sure to compliment any PC build. Big on airflow, big on space, and surprisingly competitive on price. I really can’t fault it, and I highly recommend it.
