Antec Formula 6 Nano Diamond Thermal Compound Review

Antec take a simple approach to packaging but have recently changed their design to make it more accessible and probably cheaper to make.

From the front we can see the title Antec and their slogan ‘Believe it’ and quite frankly we do. At the bottom tells us which ‘model’ it is, in this case the Antec Formula 6 Nano Diamond Thermal Paste. The word diamond is clearly expected to stand out and entice people to at least take a look at the product. It is certainly something we don’t expect to see in thermal paste – unlike its predecessor and most of its competition which contains traces of Silver and other metals. This is clearly Antec’s Unique Selling Point.

On the back of the packaging we see the features in 4 different languages, these try to explain how the diamond particles improve the heat transfer and as such improve this thermal compound. They also say this compound will work in a large temperature range and is lighter and easier to spread – as well as it not cracking or drying out over time. At the bottom is a specifications table telling you the Quantity (in this case 4g), the Specific gravity (which is the ratio of densities of this substance to a reference substance in this case we presume it is water), as well as the Thermal Conductivity (in W/mK) and the Temperature range it is stable at. This gives the user plenty of scientific information to at least appear like they are backing up their claims.

The sides of the packaging are the same although the colour is different; this doesn’t add any more useful information to the packaging.
