Antec One Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Something that always annoys us here at eTeknix is the amount of cheap cases on the market that suffer poor workmanship and floored designs, purely because they cost less off the shelf. We feel that even the budget minded self-builder should be afforded the respect of a well manufactured chassis that does not suffer from structural defects or poor quality without having to part with an excessive amount of cash for the privilege.

If this sounds familiar, worry not as Antec have identified the need for an Entry level Tower that offers both Quality and performance with an agreeable price to match. The Antec “One” is set to offer a clean, no nonsense design which stays true to the style of the gaming series towers. This new generation of tower offers the credibility and heritage of the Antec range to a different type of builder, supplying both quality and design in a single package.

With seven expansion slots that allow dual graphics cards to be installed, the “One” offers a fair amount of flexibility for your money. Most Entry level towers struggle with internal space which subsequently limits the size of the components you may install. With the rotated drive bays found on the “One”, the interior space is maximised allowing an improved user friendly build experience.

The “One” also offers features often found in larger cases, such as expansion for multiple cooling fans and tool-less drive bay operation.  With this in mind it is clear that Antec have listened to the market and tried to produce a product that ticks all of the boxes a system builder may have and wrapped it in a cost effective package, while at the same time not compromising the overall quality of the design.
